Standard Terms of Carriage

1. Camel International will invoice the customer upon booking for a non-refundable deposit of 15% or £200 (whichever is the greater). All balances due under the remaining invoices shall be settled 14 days in advance of the removal.

2. Any damage to property must be reported immediately by telephone and in writing, either by email or fax, within 48 hours of delivery.

3. The customer shall provide on request, an itemised inventory of goods to be transported with specific reference to large and/or heavy items.

4. Any items not listed on the inventory may be carried at our discretion and we reserve the right to charge extra for any such items.

5. Similarly, if, after loading, we are found to be over-loaded, we reserve the right to charge the sum of £200 per ton, evidence of such to be produced in the form of a weighbridge ticket.

6. Any additional charges to be paid prior to unloading of our vehicle.

7. We reserve the right to perform the transport in any reasonable manner and by any reasonable means, methods and routes.

8. For vehicle transport, we request that the vehicle has a minimum amount of fuel in the tank, and all paperwork pertaining to the vehicle should be handed to us upon loading together with a letter of authorisation for us to carry the said vehicle.

9. We recommend that vehicle owners consult their own insurance broker to arrange cover whilst at sea, as we do not provide any cover for any losses at sea.

10. Where extra services, such as packing, extra manpower etc are required, this should be requested at the time of quoting, and will be charged for accordingly. Whilst we endeavour to take every possible step to avoid breakages, we cannot be held responsible for fragile goods wrapped and packaged by the customer unless specifically quoted for.
